[Final] - ANG 57-40 EGY: Angola return to winning ways pick 11th title

Angola on Saturday night return to winning ways by picking it eleventh Afrobasket title at the expense of Egypt with a 57-40 points victory in the final of the 27th Afrobasket at the Palais des Sports Treichville Cote d’Ivoire.

Angola began the title chase on a cautious note losing the first quarter by 12-13 points but came back strongly in the second quarter winning by 16-08 points to take a seven points lead into the half-time break.

The Africa most rated team who is Spain 2014 World Cup bound alongside 27th Afrobasket runner-up Egypt and third place finisher Senegal continue from where it left off in the second quarter to seal the fate of the Egyptian with a 18-07 points win in the third quarter.

Though it lost the last quarter to the Egyptian by 11-12 points but the eighteen points difference it took into the last quarter was enough to see it through the challenges for it eleventh title in the history of the Afrobasket.
